I won't forget the way you treated me
and how love can turn to hate so easily
but never the other way round
I tried so hard not to look at you
although I really wanted to
I'll try harder next time
I'll try harder next time
Another week and it will all be sorted
another year and it will all be worth it
the time it takes to fix a fracture
Because I'm the man who does before he thinks
and every body else won't rise but sink
not for the first time
And I won't forget the way you treated me
and how love can turn to hate so easily
but never the other way round
I tried so hard not to look at you
although I really wanted to
I'll try harder next time
I'll try harder next time
So make some time for me to sort my life out
and I will try and not to fuck you about
and fail miserably on both counts
And you'll regret the day that you met me
and I won't see
not for the first time
And I won't forget the way you treated me
and how love can turn to hate so easily
but never the other way round
I tried so hard not to look at you
although I really wanted to
I'll try harder next time
I'll try harder next time
"You're so good at making enemies just lately
so finish up your drink and just go home"
I'm so good at making enemies lately
So I'll finish up my drink and just go home

Another 'remember the day reunion'
another chance to leak my mind
I open mouth
and words fall
I open mouth
and the words drip out
so I close my mouth
I open my mouth
I felt the words come rushing out
I felt the syllables mean things I don't want to say
So I held my tongue behind my teeth
It wasn't safe to represent me
But still my silence was interpreted the wrong way
I always be wrong
I never learn to shut my mouth
I just keep talking
I'm talking
I run my mouth
I never learn
I'm always talking
But my words come out the wrong way
I wrote it all down
but these leaking pens don't help
they scratch the surface to deep to comprehend
and now my notes make no sense
they jump from present to the past tense
until the linear is too steep to understand
I never learn to shut my mouth
I just keep talking
I'm talking
I run my mouth
I never learn
I'm always talking
But my words come out the wrong way
Is it way to late to change my ways?
I could try
try and change
but I've been this way for all my life
I'll never change
My words come out the wrong way
My words
they come out
the wrong way

Well sweetheart it's been such a fantastic run
this is the end of my favourite one
It's top five for being fun
Well bright eyes we fought for most of the time
doesn't mean that we were willing to die
It's just how these things end up
When the lists are made with five
all time moments kept in mind
the readers all can see
that beyond all the negative things
we were happy
Well sweetheart I'm glad that its finally done
another year longer we'd probably end up
quite spiteful and distant
Oh bright eyes I'm sorry that we're not in love
I'm sure if we keep looking we'll both find the one
It's just a brand new case of 'chin up'
When the lists are made with five
all time moments kept in mind
the readers all can see
that beyond all the negative things
we were happy...
With distance
the only promise we could keep
with a straight face
and keeping face was the only way
our promise stayed
So tell all your best friends
who end up your boyfriends
this is the way things are done
then they'll know
The lists are made with five
all time moments kept in mind
the readers all can see
that beyond all the negative things
we were happy
So tell your best friends who end up your boyfriends
this is the way things are done
